Acceptance of Terms

By accessing, registering for, or using RentMeHelp, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use and any related policies referenced by the platform. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use the platform.

Eligibility

To use RentMeHelp, you must be at least 18 years old, or, if you are under 18, you may only use the platform if all of the following are true:

• you are acting through a legally registered business entity that is authorized to operate in your jurisdiction;
• you have the permission, supervision, and consent of a parent or legal guardian;
• your parent or legal guardian agrees to be bound by these Terms on your behalf;
• you and your parent or legal guardian are responsible for ensuring that your use of the platform complies with all applicable laws, regulations, licensing rules, labor requirements, and business requirements.

By creating an account or using RentMeHelp, you represent and warrant that you satisfy the eligibility requirements above.

If you are a parent or legal guardian permitting a minor to use the platform, you accept full responsibility for the minor’s use of the platform, conduct, communications, agreements, payments, legal compliance, and any services offered or performed through the platform.

RentMeHelp may request proof of age, identity, business registration, or parental/guardian consent at any time, and may suspend or terminate any account that does not satisfy these requirements.

Platform Role

RentMeHelp is a marketplace platform connecting Clients and Helpers. RentMeHelp does not perform services, direct work, supervise users, or guarantee service outcomes.

Any agreement for services is made directly between the Client and the Helper. RentMeHelp is not a party to that service relationship.

Independent Contractor Status

Helpers are independent contractors and are not employees, agents, partners, or representatives of RentMeHelp. No employment relationship is created through use of the platform.

RentMeHelp does not control, direct, supervise, or manage how services are performed. Helpers are solely responsible for the manner, means, timing, and method of performing their services.

Compliance with Laws and Work Requirements

Users are solely responsible for understanding and complying with all applicable local, city, county, state, provincial, national, and international laws, regulations, ordinances, licensing requirements, tax obligations, labor rules, and business requirements that apply to their use of the platform or any services offered, requested, or performed through the platform.

This includes, without limitation, laws and requirements relating to:

• minimum age and legal capacity to work or contract;
• business registration and authorization requirements;
• professional licenses, permits, certifications, or insurance;
• employment, contractor, and worker-classification laws;
• wage, hour, and tax obligations;
• consumer protection, privacy, and safety regulations;
• any location-specific rules governing the type of services being offered or requested.

RentMeHelp does not verify and is not responsible for whether any user is legally permitted to offer, request, contract for, or perform any service in any jurisdiction.

No Verification or Legal Compliance Guarantee

RentMeHelp does not guarantee that any user is legally eligible, licensed, qualified, insured, registered, or otherwise authorized to offer or perform any service.

Any badges, labels, descriptions, or profile information shown on the platform are for informational purposes only and do not constitute a certification, endorsement, guarantee, or legal determination by RentMeHelp.

Users are solely responsible for conducting their own due diligence before entering into any agreement or engaging in any service relationship through the platform.

RentMeHelp does not guarantee the quality, safety, legality, reliability, or completion of any service offered, requested, or performed through the platform.

Background Checks

Background checks, if offered, are performed by independent third-party providers. A completed background check does not guarantee a user's identity, future conduct, honesty, reliability, qualifications, or safety.

Background checks are limited to the information available at the time they are performed and may not include all criminal records or other relevant information.

Users remain solely responsible for exercising their own judgment and conducting any additional due diligence they consider appropriate before entering into any service relationship.

User Responsibility

Users are solely responsible for evaluating, selecting, hiring, engaging with, and paying other users. Users are also responsible for verifying qualifications, credentials, reviews, pricing, suitability, and service expectations before entering into any arrangement.

Payments & Disputes

Certain payments are processed through third-party payment processors, including Stripe. RentMeHelp facilitates payment processing but is not a bank, payment processor, escrow service, or financial institution. Platform fees, payment processing fees, and other disclosed charges may apply.

Except where required by law or expressly stated in these Terms, disputes regarding service quality, work performed, refunds, cancellations, chargebacks, or agreements between Clients and Helpers remain the responsibility of the users involved.

Fraud Prevention

RentMeHelp reserves the right to delay, hold, cancel, reverse, or refuse payments, accounts, or transactions when fraud, chargebacks, suspicious activity, policy violations, or legal obligations are reasonably suspected.

Assumption of Risk

You acknowledge and accept all risks associated with interactions, agreements, transactions, and services arranged through the platform, including personal injury, property damage, financial loss, unsatisfactory work, delays, fraud, misconduct, or disputes between users.

You voluntarily assume all risks associated with your interactions, agreements, communications, meetings, transactions, and services arranged through the platform.

No Warranty

The platform is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE." To the fullest extent permitted by law, RentMeHelp disclaims all warranties, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, availability, accuracy, or uninterrupted service.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, RentMeHelp shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages arising from use of the platform or any services performed through it.

This includes, without limitation, damages arising from:

• use of or inability to use the platform;
• services performed or not performed by Helpers;
• interactions or communications between users;
• agreements, transactions, disputes, or service outcomes between users;
• any reliance on profile information, badges, reviews, or descriptions shown on the platform.

RentMeHelp’s maximum total liability shall not exceed $100 or the amount paid to RentMeHelp during the previous six (6) months, whichever is greater.

Video, Messaging, and Communication Conduct

RentMeHelp may provide video, audio, messaging, or other communication features to support legitimate service-related interactions between users. By using these features, you agree to communicate respectfully, professionally, and only for lawful platform-related purposes.

Prohibited conduct includes, but is not limited to:

• Sexual, explicit, obscene, or inappropriate behavior or content
• Harassment, threats, intimidation, stalking, coercion, or abusive conduct
• Discriminatory, hateful, violent, or degrading behavior
• Requests for illegal services or conduct
• Attempts to move payments, communications, or service arrangements off the RentMeHelp platform
• Recording, screenshotting, distributing, or publishing communications without consent where required by law
• Impersonation, fraud, scams, or misleading behavior

RentMeHelp does not actively monitor all communications but may review reported interactions to enforce these Terms, investigate safety concerns, and comply with legal obligations.

Violations may result in warnings, suspension, permanent account removal, or referral to appropriate authorities.

Termination

RentMeHelp may suspend, limit, or terminate any account or access to the platform at any time, with or without notice, for any reason, including violation of these Terms, legal risk, safety concerns, or misuse of the platform.

Force Majeure

RentMeHelp shall not be liable for any delay, interruption, suspension, degradation of service, or failure to perform resulting from events beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, severe weather, fire, flood, internet or telecommunications outages, cyberattacks, denial-of-service attacks, software or hardware failures, labor disputes, governmental actions, acts of war, terrorism, epidemics or pandemics, utility failures, or failures of third-party providers or payment processors.

Governing Law and Venue

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Any legal action or proceeding arising under these Terms shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Florida, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction and venue therein.
